Dublin Event Guide 882: Less than 90 days! – Dublin Festival of History, People’s Art Exhibition, Festival of Italian and Irish Literature, Dublin Comic Arts Festival

Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)

Less than 90 days!

Dublin Festival of History, People’s Art Exhibition, Festival of Italian and Irish Literature, Dublin Comic Arts Festival

Hi!!

The morning temperatures are down to single digits, supermarkets have added Christmas sweets to their shelves (but I am still resisting) and we are actually already less than 90 days away from Christmas Day.

To some that is a horrible thought, others can’t wait until Christmas trees and lights will be out again. And others are maybe shocked that I mentioned that Christmas word in September already four times today. ;-)

But let’s look at it differently: We are less than 90 days away from the days getting longer again. So the closer we come to Christmas (5th mentioning :-o) the closer we come to Summer 2025. And because that summer will be epic (I just feel it in my waters!! ;-) ) this is a good thing!

Until then: Enjoy autumn!

The biggest event this weekend will be the Dublin Festival of History with lots of talks and other events. If history talks are normally not your thing, then try ONE talk and let me know how it went. History in school might have been boring, but if you let it, history can be really fascinating.

Donations in October:
EUR 5

(By the end of the month, this number has to reach or exceed EUR 200 to guarantee the continuation of the Dublin Event Guide.)

If the Dublin Event Guide helps you to find out about free events in Dublin, please help with a donation.

The counter here shows the current donation status. By the end of the month EUR 200 will be subtracted to pay the bills. If more money has been donated, the rest will be carried forward. If donations have stopped below the EUR 200, the missing amount will be carried over.

Last week Elizabeth, Sarah, Katherine and Wendy helped with a donation. Thank you so so so much! These donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and it is truly a wonderful group of people who help keeping the Dublin Event Guide going. Join this exclusive group!

With the above counter you know at all times where we stand and when donating is needed. Donations keep the Dublin Event Guide alive and all donors will also get some additional bonuses.

Here are some more details about donations:
Any amount is appreciated, but if you are looking for a recommendation, then I suggest a donation of 12 Euro per year. – That’s just one Euro per month and you get FOUR Dublin Event Guides for that Euro! If your funds are limited, but you still want to help, you can buy a virtual coffee for just EUR 4. All donations will be used in full for the Dublin Event Guide.

To donate, use the Dublin Event Guide Donation Page here: gturl.eu/DEGdonate. It is really easy to use and uses Stripe’s trustworthy payment processing. You can even sign up for a yearly subscription on the donation page! Yearly subscriptions will give some important financial stability and reliability to the Dublin Event Guide and are therefore very much appreciated! (Look for the RED subscription buttons at the bottom of the Donation Page.)

In case the donation page doesn’t work for you, the old links are here: You can donate via www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide or for Revolut users among you, just use @joergbrb or now also revolut.me/joergbrb
(If possible, please send your full name and e-mail address as a message with the payment via PayPal or Revolut so that I can tell you about bonuses for donors when available.)

To buy one or two or even three virtual coffees for the Dublin Event Guide, come to the “Buy Me a Coffee” page here www.buymeacoffee.com/DublinEventG

And there is one other way to help and it is even free: If you come to www.DublinEventGuide.com and check out some of the ads and click on the ones that you find interesting, that also helps with a few cent! ?

Thank you!!

Voicenotes – Brilliant Voice Note Taking and transcription app

I’ve been using Voicenotes for the last few months and it’s been a game-changer for my productivity! This simple app lets me take voice notes on the go and it transcribes everything for me. No more manual note-taking! after recording the note, it transcribes it and the transcription is super accurate and saves me a lot of time. Often apps like that come with a relatively high monthly fee an that makes them pretty uninteresting. Voicenotes is different. Right now, they’re offering a lifetime deal for just $50. If you’re looking for an easy way to capture your thoughts and stay organized, I highly recommend it. You can sign up here: www.getthislink.com/voicenotes
Voicenotes works in your webbrowser and there are also Android and iOS apps.
